Greenville County encourages those needing to pay taxes to avoid coming inside County Square.
Citizens can pay property taxes through the mail, the internet or by using the convenient dropbox located outside the Tax Office. The County accepts credit and debit card payments on our website, online.
From now until further notice, the County will waive the online service fee provided by SC.GOV, our third-party provider.
The service fee for Hospitality Taxes will also be waived until further notice.

To prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 virus, entrance to the Probate Court offices will be controlled in order to limit the number of people in the offices. All persons entering the offices of the Greenville County Probate Court must wear a facial covering, covering the nose and mouth. If you do not have a facial covering, one will be provided for you. If you are in a high risk group for infection by the virus, please consider calling, emailing, or videoconferencing. These are safer alternatives than an in-person visit. *SC law defines a “vulnerable adult” as a person 18 years of age or older who has a physical or mental condition which prevents them from providing for his or her own care or protection. This includes adults who are impaired because of brain damage, advanced age, and physical, mental or emotional dysfunction.

Note: Any adult subject to a Guardianship or Conservatorship in the Greenville County Probate Court meets this definition.
