Greenville County encourages those needing to pay taxes to avoid coming inside County Square.
Citizens can pay property taxes through the mail, the internet or by using the convenient dropbox located outside the Tax Office. The County accepts credit and debit card payments on our website, online. From now until April 15, the County will waive the online service fee provided by SC.GOV, our third-party provider.
Does your vehicle license plate expire between March 2020 and June 2020? You now have until July 1st 2020 to register or renew your vehicle plates.
DMV has extended deadlines for:
 • Motor vehicles registrations and plates
 • 45 day temporary license plates
Note: Expired plates may not be valid outside of SC
The service fee for Hospitality Taxes will also be waived until April 15th.

How do I get an asphalt extension from my concrete driveway to the road?

Answer:

The Public Works Division provides asphalt extensions for concrete driveways on county maintained roads. Contact the Public Works Division at 864.467.7016 to request an extension.

Where can I get a driveway pipe for a new residence?

Answer:

Contact the Public Works Division, Greenville County Square, Suite 3800 at 864.467.7016. To obtain a driveway culvert, a person must have a building permit, mobile home permit, or a septic tank permit. Building permits/mobile home permits/septic tank permits are issued through the Codes Enforcement Department, 864.467.7060. With a building permit/mobile home permit, a driveway culvert can be issued with a deposit. The deposit is refunded once the home is occupied.

Question:

Where can I get a driveway pipe for pasture or farm land?

Answer:

The County will not provide a driveway culvert to vacant land. However, a property owner may obtain an encroachment permit to install the culvert at their expense. The proof of a building permit, mobile home permit, or septic tank permit will not be needed to obtain the encroachment permit.
