What programs are offered at the community centers?

Answer:

Six community centers offer programs for Senior Citizens and youth of various ages. These programs include basketball, softball, soccer, flag football, table tennis, arts and crafts, bowling, fishing, tutorial and literacy programs.

Where is the equestrian park located?

Answer:

Riverbend Park, located on Riverbend Road, is an equestrian-oriented 65-acre park.

Where do I go to find out about Parks and Recreation programs?

Answer:

Programs are offered year-around for all ages. Information on registration can be obtained by contacting Parks and Recreation Commission at 864.288.6470.

Where is the Pavilion and what does it offer?

Answer:

The Pavilion, located on Scottswood Drive, off East North Street, offers ice skating, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, soccer fields, volleyball/badminton courts, meeting areas and a play area. For more information, call 864.322.PLAY.

Where can I go to get information about swimming?

Answer:

The Parks and Recreation Commission operates the Westside Aquatic Center, with an Olympic-sized, 50-meter indoor public pool. The center is located on Highway 253, 864.295.0032.

In addition, Northside Park, Southside Park, Lakeside Park, and Pleasant Ridge County Park feature swimming facilities.
