Veterans Affairs function is to provide and assist former Armed Forces service personnel who were Honorably discharged, their families, widows, orphans, and parents in securing benefits to which they are entitled under the provision of federal legislation and the code of laws of South Carolina. File and prosecute all claims which have compensation, hospitalization, education, training and insurance benefits due under federal legislation.

To inform the public citizens of veteran history. Provide ceremonies during veterans and memorial day to honor veterans for their sacrifices. Educate children through school visits of veteran accomplishments and history.
