Long Range Planning
About Us

The Long Range Planning staff is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Greenville County Comprehensive Plan, as well as community, area, neighborhood, and corridor plans. This responsibility is carried out by working with citizens and stakeholders to identify key planning issues that are both local and regional in scope. Long Range Planning is staffed by five professional planners with over 50 years combined experience.

A. Tyler Stone, AICP CFM
Planning Manager, Tyler manages the daily activities and on-going work program for the Long Range Planning team and works with local economic development agencies by providing development, demographic, and mapping assistance.

Suzanne Terry, AICP
Principal Planner, Suzanne coordinates citizen initiatives with regard to community planning efforts by leading the community planning program and liaising with local community support organizations. Suzanne provides staff assistance to the Greenville County Historic Preservation Commission as well as manages the county’s property tax abatement program for historic structure rehabilitation (Bailey Bill).

Brennan Groel, AICP
Principal Planner, Brennan supports local communities within Greenville County using her background in transportation planning, landscape architecture, and urban design. She assists staff with demonstrating planning concepts visually and promotes community and area planning through the community visioning process, coordinating various activities and workshops with local communities.

Brook Denny
Principal Planner, Brook supports local communities within Greenville County using her background in Zoning, Housing, and Development. Through her out-of-the box approach, Brook supports staff through collaboration – helping create both viable and unique solutions to common problems facing the communities of Greenville County. Brook has a passion for equity, inclusion, and smart growth.
