Long Range Planning
About Us

The Long Range Planning staff is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Greenville County Comprehensive Plan, as well as community, area, neighborhood, and corridor plans. This responsibility is carried out by working with citizens and stakeholders to identify key planning issues that are both local and regional in scope. Long Range Planning is staffed by four professional planners with years of combined experience.

A. Tyler Stone, AICP CFM
Planning Manager, Tyler manages the daily activities and on-going work program for the Long Range Planning team and works with local economic development agencies by providing development, demographic, and mapping assistance.

Suzanne Terry, AICP
Planner II, Suzanne coordinates citizen initiatives with regard to community planning efforts by leading the community planning program and liaising with local community support organizations. Suzanne provides staff assistance to the Greenville County Historic Preservation Commission as well as manages the county’s property tax abatement program for historic structure rehabilitation (Bailey Bill).

Austin Lovelace, AICP
Planner II, Austin supports local communities within Greenville County using his background in geography, political science, and zoning. He assists staff with area/community plan projects and is focused on making planning concepts and processes more accessible to the public through community engagement, educational videos, and informative resources. Austin has a passion for equity, inclusion, and community resilience.

Saeideh Sobhaninia, ABD Ph.D.
Planner II, Saeideh works on urban planning and design projects for neighborhoods, area plans, and corridor plans. She also works on developing landscape, streetscape, and urban design proposals using her background in urban planning and design. Her research is primarily focused on community resilience, disaster recovery, environmental and social equity, and placemaking.
