Stan Tzouvelekas
District 22

Stan is a native of Greenville, South Carolina, elected to Greenville County Council District 22 in November 2020. He is the son of the late George and Irene Tzouvelekas is one of four children, Hope Tz Schmalzl, Jamie Tzouvelekas and the late Evan Tzouvelekas. He met his wife Kelly at Ryan’s Family Steak Houses where they both worked, proposed to her at Soby’s in Greenville SC and they have been married for over 22 years. They have two daughters Caroline who attends Clemson and Eva Kelly who attends Eastside High.

Stan attended Lake Forest Elementary, League Middle, Wade Hampton High School, and a graduate of University of South Carolina where he was a letterman in tennis.

Following his college graduation, Stan worked in his father’s wine business. He then became a commercial real estate agent. For more than 32 years, Stan has served in the commercial and residential real estate industry, with 12 of those years at Ryan’s Family Steak Houses, where he acquired and disposed of real estate in 22 states. He spent more than 5 years at the Cliffs Communities where he was voted “Player of the year for outstanding team support” and was in the top of sales each of those years.

Stan currently works for RealtyLink and has done so for over 8 years. He has developed in the following segments: senior housing, convenience stores, fast food, retail and Industrial.

He is a past President of the America Hellenic Educational Progressive Associations (AHEPA) where he led efforts to obtain a $4.5 million federal grant for the building of affordable housing apartments. These apartments were constructed for housing seniors that are age and income restricted, and is located on Woods Lake Road in Greenville, SC. He is a past board member of Team Greenville and served as a SAIL Representative for his neighborhood swim team the Botany Woods Bolts for many years! A Leadership Greenville graduate of class XXVI. He was elected to Board Chairman for Christian Learning Centers of Greenville County in 2020 where he has served since 2016. He has volunteered for the following organizations but is not limited to: Meals on Wheels, Greek Festival, St. George Cathedral and Grace Church as well as the following swim teams, Botany Woods, Greenville Country Club, Y-Spartaquatics, and Team Greenville.

He is the founder of STZNetwork, a social media platform born in Greenville SC.

As a Greenville County Council Member, he has served on the Public Safety and Human Relations Committee, Public Works and Infrastructure Committee and the Finance Committee. Was chosen by other council members to serve on Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC) where he currently has served since 2020. He is also serves on the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Commission.

Stan and his family are members of Grace Church on Pelham Road and in his free time he loves spending time with his family.
