Greenville County encourages those needing to pay taxes to avoid coming inside County Square.
Citizens can pay property taxes through the mail, the internet or by using the convenient dropbox located outside the Tax Office. The County accepts credit and debit card payments on our website, online.
From now until further notice, the County will waive the online service fee provided by AutoAgent, our third-party provider.
The service fee for Hospitality Taxes, using SC.GOV, will also be waived until further notice.

Solid Waste
Curbside Collection

In lieu of curbside service, Greenville County offers non-staffed and staffed dropoff sites located throughout Greenville County. Seven of the recycling dropoff sites are located at staffed Residential Waste & Recycling Facilities and the Twin Chimneys Landfill that have additional recycling opportunities.

See our Residential Waste & Recycling Facilities page for a list of locations. See our Recycling Dropoff Sites page for the list of unstaffed recycling dropoff sites.

Curbside Collection

Additionally, the following four incorporated municipalities and one service district provide curbside recycling collection to 50 percent of the County's residents:

  • Greater Greenville Sanitation Commission
  • Greenville
  • Greer
  • Mauldin
  • Simpsonville
  • Travelers Rest

In addition to these organizations, several private haulers also offer curbside recycling services for a fee. Consult your local phone book under "Garbage Collection" and "Recycling Centers" to locate organizations that offer curbside collection of recyclables. Or, if you currently have curbside recycling and are not sure who is your waste hauler, refer to the name on your recycling bin and contact them with questions and concerns.
