Overview of Business Personal Property (BPP)
Business

All personal property (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) owned by a business is subject to local property tax in South Carolina and must be annually reported on a return. In Greenville County, all business personal property tax filings are made through the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR) PT100 reporting process. The SCDOR requires a business to annually report its tangible personal property on a PT100 form no later than four months following the close of the business’s fiscal year. Electronic filing of the PT100 is available through the SCDOR at My DORWAY. Business Personal Property tax bills are prepared by the Auditor’s Office based on the SCDOR PT100 certifications.
