Greenville County encourages those needing to pay taxes to avoid coming inside County Square.
Citizens can pay property taxes through the mail, the internet or by using the convenient dropbox located outside the Tax Office. The County accepts credit and debit card payments on our website, online.
From now until August 31, the County will waive the online service fee provided by SC.GOV, our third-party provider.
The service fee for Hospitality Taxes will also be waived until August 31st.

How We Serve Greenville County
Planning & Code Compliance

The Planning and Zoning Division provides the following services to the county:

  • Long Range Planning - this division develops community and area plans with citizens and stakeholders along with the County‚Äôs Comprehensive Plan.
  • Transportation Planning - this division staffs the Greenville-Pickens Area Transportation Study (GPATS).
  • Zoning - this division covers all of the functions of zoning, rezoning, site review, appeals, and development services, for the county.
  • The mission of the Planning and Zoning Division is to promote managed growth in Greenville County by maintaining a comprehensive long range planning program which minimizes land use conflicts by coordinating the provision of regional transportation infrastructure and reviewing current rezoning and construction proposals.
