Greenville County encourages those needing to pay taxes to avoid coming inside County Square.
Citizens can pay property taxes through the mail, the internet or by using the convenient dropbox located outside the Tax Office. The County accepts credit and debit card payments on our website, online.
From now until further notice, the County will waive the online service fee provided by SC.GOV, our third-party provider.
The service fee for Hospitality Taxes will also be waived until further notice.

Greenville County has been entrusted with allocating Federal CARES Act money to our businesses, non-profits, public health outlets, housing authorities, special purpose districts and other agencies. CARES mandates that all funding meet the criteria of providing relief directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic and have taken place between March 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020. Specifics of request are available in the application. Businesses can apply for more than one grant but will only be awarded a grant in one category.

Small businesses and non-profits with 1-50 employees located in Greenville County that have been in operation since September 1, 2019.

How Can Funds Be Used?

These Federal funds are nonrecurring (one time) and can be used to offset expenses associated with reopening or relaunching a small business with social distancing and other safety precautions as a result of being directly affected by COVID-19. Allowable expenses include equipment, supplies, processes, building/equipment modification or adaptation, rent and utilities for leased space that was ordered to close, and operation procedures due to COVID-19.

Medical facilities, public health organizations, and non-profits caring for older adults and vulnerable populations, who have experienced unforeseen expenses due to COVID-19.

How Can Funds Be Used?

These Federal funds are nonrecurring (one time) and can be used to offset expenses associated with expanded meal delivery, patient care and testing, convalescent care, homeless care, food pantries, mental health and drug/alcohol treatment.

Who Qualifies?

Residents/households at the 0%-100% Area Media Income (AMI) level. Greenville County Redevelopment Authority (GCRA) has been charged with selection and distribution of funding for community housing and utility relief in the unincorporated area as well as the six surrounding municipalities within the County.

How Can Funds Be Used?

Funding may be used for rental and housing assistance for those below 100% AMI, utility assistance, and homeless care. GCRA will receive Board approval and submit its plan to the County for funding distribution prior to allocation. Greenville County Human Relations will be the only recipient of mortgage assistance funding.
