Greenville County
Summer Meetings- Phase II
Posted: 06/12/19 9:01 AM by Plan Greenville County

Starting June 20, Greenville County will host a series of nine community meetings as a part of Plan Greenville County, the county’s 2019 comprehensive planning effort. These meetings are designed to educate, inform, and solicit input from the public about the opportunities and challenges related to current and projected growth in Greenville County.

Today, Greenville County’s population is 514,000. By 2040, the county is projected to add an additional 222,000 residents and 86,000 new jobs. To ensure the wise utilization of our natural, financial, infrastructure, and community resources, there are many questions the community must address: for example, where to focus growth, where to preserve, and what growth should look like.  Community meeting participants will respond to these and other questions to assist the planning team in the development of policy and land use recommendations.

Try to arrive at 6pm because a quick presentation by consultants and staff begins shortly after the top of the hour, followed by input by the public and the chance to have one-on-one discussions.  To preview or review, here is a copy of the presentation
