About Us

The Planning staff is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Greenville County Comprehensive Plan. This responsibility is carried out by working with citizens and stakeholders in the development of local plans and projects. The Planning Staff also addresses key planning issues that are both local and regional in scope. These activities aid in the implementation of the comprehensive plan. This work is carried out by the professional planning team listed below.

A. Tyler Stone, AICP
Planning Manager, Tyler works with local economic development agencies by providing development and demographic assistance.

Suzanne Terry, AICP
Principal Planner, Suzanne coordinates citizen initiatives with regard to community planning efforts. She leads the community planning program. She is also the liaison with local community support organizations. Suzanne provides staff assistance to the Greenville County Historic Preservation Commission as well.

Jonathan Hanna
Principal Planner, provides urban and landscape design support services to the county. Jonathan effectively uses his design skills in the performance of community planning efforts. He also provides local citizen organizations design assistance with regard to branding, streetscape renderings, and various other graphic assistance.

Ben Cotton
Principal Planner, Ben supports towns and neighborhoods in Greenville County with experience in transportation planning, land use planning, and sustainability. In addition to working with specific communities, he enjoys exploring and addressing issues of regional significance, including development trends, mobility, and natural resource management.

Greg Gordos
Planner, provides planning and zoning assistance to the City of Fountain Inn. His experience comes from multiple planning fields including community development/housing, historic preservation, land development, and design review. Gregory has previously served as zoning administrator, and assists the public with development and demographic information.

Tina Belge
Planner, involved in the Community Planning process and is the Executive Director of Keep Greenville County Beautiful. Tina’s background is in Community Development and is an asset on issues of affordable housing, public/private partnerships, grant-writing and administration, gentrification, and homelessness as well as a resource regarding public services/non-profit agencies across the upstate. She also loves working with neighborhoods to create positive lasting change. Additionally, Tina provides planning assistance to the City of Travelers Rest.
