About

GADC is a non-profit public corporation created by ordinance of Greenville County for the purpose of assisting the County in its governmental function of promoting and enhancing economic growth and development for the benefit and welfare of the citizens of Greenville County. The goal is to increase the number of jobs and to increase the standard of living for citizens.

GADC is empowered by law with the authority to negotiate tax and other incentives for new and existing companies who agree to make significant capital investments and provide new jobs in Greenville County.

GADC’s resources and capabilities are limited and targeted in scope. GADC helps to cover the full spectrum of economic operations by working in coordination with other economic development organizations such as the SC Department of Commerce, Upstate Alliance, Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce, municipalities, and other Chambers in Greenville County. Working collaboratively with other organizations brings to bear the unique strengths and capabilities of each in a unified effort.

The board meets at 301 University Ridge, Suite N-4300, Greenville, on the first Wednesday of each month at 12:00 noon.
