How to Become a Foster Volunteer:
  1. Review our Foster Program Guidelines to see if fostering is right for you.
  2. Fill out our online Foster Program Application.
  3. Our Foster team will contact you about fostering opportunities!
  4. If you are interested in fostering a specific animal, or see a few you want to meet, you can call or text us at (864) 467-3952 to make an appointment or send us an email at fosterapet@greenvillecounty.org. Our Foster team is available by appointment Monday - Saturday.

Fostering a heartworm positive dog can guarantee they get the life-saving treatment they need while making it easier for them to find a forever home.

Foster Doggys Day Out
Doggy's Day Out
Our Doggy's Day Out program will allow you to have a fun-filled day of adventure with a shelter dog by your side. There's no prior experience or training required to participate and you return the dog to our shelter at the end of the day.
