Private Residential Disposal

Free self-disposal of domestic waste for citizens of Greenville County is provided at Residential Waste & Recycling Facilities and the Twin Chimneys Landfill.

Commercial Disposal

All commercial haulers disposing at a Greenville County facility must use the Twin Chimneys Landfill.

Banned Materials Disposal

S.C. Solid Waste Policy & Management Act of 1991 bans motor oil, yard waste, car batteries, white goods (appliances) and tires are banned from the landfill. They are collected separately at Twin Chimneys and the Residential Waste & Recycling Facilities and recycled.

Hazardous Waste Disposal

We do not accept hazardous waste and/or liquid waste at the Residential Waste & Recycling Facilities. The S.C. Solid Waste Policy & Management Act of 1991 bans some hazardous materials from the landfill. Please call 243-9672 with questions about hazardous materials.
