FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE GCRA Announces Appointment of New Board Member and Officers for 2007 GREENVILLE, SC, November 30, 2006 – Mr. Martin L. Livingston, Jr., Executive Director of the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority (GCRA), announced today that Louise Holmes was recently appointed to the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority Board. Ms. Holmes is a retired bank assistant manager and management consultant for Amoco Oil. She represents District 23 and was appointed by County Council for a three-year term. Mr. Livingston also announced that John R. Mahony, Daniel P. Hamilton, and Sandra C. Garrison were elected as officers of the Redevelopment Authority Board at its meeting on Tuesday, October 24th. Mr. Mahony will serve as Chairman of the Board. He is a realtor with Joy Real Estate in Mauldin and represents District 27. Mr. Hamilton will serve as Vice-Chairman of the Board. He is a realtor with Keller-Williams Realty in Greenville and represents District 20. Ms. Garrison will serve as Board Treasurer. She is an Assistant Deputy Auditor for Greenville County and represents District 28. The Redevelopment Authority was established in 1974 to serve as the county agency for providing safe, decent, affordable housing for low and moderate income citizens. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for low and moderate income citizens of Greenville County through improved affordable housing and revitalization of the physical, social and economic infrastructure necessary to the well-being of communities. Through partnerships and federal funding (Community Development Block Grant, HOME, and Emergency Shelter Grant programs) the GCRA has improved affordable housing and revitalized neighborhoods all across Greenville County, including the small cities of Fountain Inn, Greer, Travelers Rest, Mauldin, and Simpsonville. ### (November 2006)
