Estate Classes and Assistance
The educational classes are held in the Greenville County Probate Court and have been coined the "Courtroom to Classroom" program. These classes empower people with educational tools to start probate and demystify the procedural aspects of the court.

There are 3 classes currently taught in the courtroom and professional staff members of the court that have had experience in probate matters and public speaking teach these classes. Each class is hands-on and followed by a question and answer session and generally last for one hour. The classes are free but limited seating is available.

All seating can be reserved via e-mail to homccoy@greenvillecounty.org or by calling Holly McCoy at (864) 467-7614.

Customer service is professional yet compassionate at the Probate Court. Assistance available through these classes is meant to help the public understand only the procedures of the probate matters. They are not, however, intended to be used in lieu of legal advice or assistance.
Estate classes and assistance are available at the Probate Court (Suite 1200, 301 University Ridge) for the following probate steps:
  • First Wednesday monthly at 2:00 p.m.:
Completing the Application for Probate/Appointment (Form 300PC)
  • Second Wednesday monthly at 2:00 p.m.: Completing the Inventory and Appraisement (Form 350PC)
  • Third Wednesday monthly at 2:00 p.m.: Completing the closing documents and final accounting (Form 361PC)
