Greenville County - Department of Planning

The eight members of the Long Range Planning Division provide long range planning. Members of the Long Range Planning staff are:

Tom Meeks, AICP
Division Manager, Directs the activities of the Advanced Planning Division.

Eric Vinson, AICP
Principal Planner, provides County Comprehensive Planning as well as sub area plans.

Megan Olsen
Principal Planner, provides Comprehensive Planning on all levels as well as sub area plans, and also provides Planning assistance to the City of Greer.

Dan Powell
Planner, responsibilities include Comprehensive plan activities, especially in Air Quality Education and air quality improvement efforts, as well as providing staff assistance to the City of Fountain Inn.

Brooke Ferguson, AICP
Planner, primary responsibilities include demographic / economic / development activity analysis, and provides County Planning.

Kevin Robinson
Associate Planner, provides County Comprehensive Planning as well as providing staff assistance to the City of Simpsonville.

A. Tyler Stone
Associate Planner, provides County Comprehensive Planning as well as providing staff assistance to the City of Mauldin.

Suzanne Garnmeister, AICP
Associate Planner, provides Comprehensive Planning services and research, and technical assistance to the staff, and provides assistance to the City of Travelers Rest.

Technical Assistance

The Advanced Planning Division provides technical assistance to some of the County's public service organizations such as the School District, the Recreation District, and the County Library.

This assistance is in the form of the identification of the need for and the potential location of additional facilities.
