Greenville County, SC - Marriage License Disclaimer

In our continuing effort to provide the best customer service in the county, we are now offering the convenience of on line credit card payments for marriage license fees.

We have chosen to use SC.GOV to provide this credit card payment service to the County. To pay for this service, SC.GOV will charge you a convenience fee of $1.64. The purpose of this convenience fee is to defray the direct costs of providing this service. Greenville County does not receive any of this fee. You will have an opportunity to terminate the transaction if you do not wish to accept the charge.

The digital receipt that you print after making your payment is a confirmation of your payment, you will need to bring this digital receipt confirmation in with you to finish the application process.

SC law requires that both applicants take an oath before the Probate Court as to the accuracy of the information contained in the application. This requires that both applicants appear in person to complete the process started online. Please bring the digital receipt showing your online payment with you when you visit our office.
