Memorandum Polices for Greenville County Court of Common Pleas

Motions filed and scheduled before the following Judges have certain requirements that must be followed. It is the filing party’s responsibility to notify all opposing parties of these requirements. Failure to do so may result in dismissal of your motion.

All Judges require that a paper copy of all briefs and/or memorandums be delivered directly to them and the original should be filed with the Clerk of Court. The moving attorney is responsible for notifying opposing counsel of this requirement.

The time requirements are listed as follows:
The Honorable D. Garrison Hill: At least 72 hours prior to the hearing
The Honorable Edward W. Miller: At least 72 hours prior to the hearing
The Honorable Charles B. Simmons, Jr.: At least 72 hours prior to the hearing
The Honorable Robin B. Stilwell: At least 24 hours prior to the hearing
The Honorable Letitia H. Verdin: At least 72 hours prior to the hearing
The Honorable G. Edward Welmaker: At least 72 hours prior to the hearing
