District 26

In November 2010, Dan Rawls was elected to his first term on County Council. He is a long time resident of District 26 and a retired businessman.

Councilor Rawls serves on the Public Safety and Human Services Committee and the Planning and Development Committee. He also represents Greenville County on the Appalachian Council of Governments Board of Directors.

Dan has served his community by being on the Greenville County Planning Commission, its Tree Committee and the Greenville Delegation Transportation Committee. He serves on the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House and has chaired the board for the South Carolina Housing, Finance and Development Authority. He also served as past president of the Piedmont Lions Club and was state and local president of the Home Builders Association and inducted into the South Carolina Housing Hall of fame in 2005.

Dan and his wife, Brenda, have two children, Bill and Trina and four granddaughters, Karley, Kaitlyn, Madelyn and Danielle.
