With Some Spare Time and Spare Room You Can Spare a Life!
Foster Care Program A little commitment goes a long way when you become a foster parent for Greenville County Animal Care Services. We have many situations that require us to place pets temporarily in private homes. Some need attention and care that we can’t provide at the shelter. These include the very young and those with minor illnesses. For other pets, we just need a comfortable place for them to stay and we may have run out of room.

By becoming a foster parent you are saving their lives by providing the time, care and love they need to grow, recuperate and await adoption or rescue. Fostering is fun and easy. We will give you all the supplies you need. We will be a phone call away if you have questions or need advice.

Whether you are looking for a longer term assignment to provide care and shelter for a mom and her newborns or just want to spend the week with an animal companion, we have a variety of opportunities to meet your lifestyle and interests:

  • Orphaned puppies and kittens
  • Moms and newborns
  • Pets with minor health issues
  • Animals waiting for transport to rescue organizations
  • Cruelty/neglect cases that cause the pet to be impounded long term awaiting trial
Saving a pet by fostering is a feel good moment that will last a lifetime ... their lifetime.
