The following are brief descriptions of recently completed bridge projects:
| American Legion Road Bridge - (Design / Build) |
American Legion Road is a residential collector street located between Arlington Road
and Gravely Road. The scope of this project will be to design, upgrade and replace the
existing 60 feet span, steel girders bridge across Frohawk Creek with a single span
concrete bridge. A hydraulic study and analysis will be needed to determine the size
and length of the bridge and to satisfy County Flood Plain Ordinance requirements.

Riley Smith Road is a sub-access street that runs from Roper Mountain road to Pelham for
approximately 4,700 feet. This project consists of replacing the existing culvert at
Rocky Creek on Riley Smith Road with a bridge structure. The new bridge will be 34 feet
wide curb to curb, allowing for two lanes of traffic and approximately 130 feet long
consisting of three spans. This project will require raising the road elevation.
