Notary Public Application and Renewal Instructions
  1. Carefully type or print legibly all information requested on the top portion of your application and sign in the presence of a notary public.

  1. Attach a check or money order to your original application in the amount of $25.00 made payable to “SC Secretary of State”.
  2. Mail the application and check/money order to your County Delegation office. Greenville County residents should mail their applications to:

  1. Allow four to six weeks for your application to be processed.
  2. Upon receipt, you must enroll your commission with the County Clerk of Court within 15 days of being commissioned. There is a $10.00 enrollment fee. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, money order, official check, and credit/debit card (includes a small processing fee). The Clerk of Court’s office is located in the Greenville County Court House at:
