Celebrate Black History Month
At the Greenville County Human Relations Commission, our goal is to improve the quality of life through the promotion of harmonious relationships among the citizens in our community. Along with The Greenville News, we encourage tolerance, understanding and equitable treatment for all people. It is in the spirit of promoting unity that we present this coloring book. This is also an opportunity to learn more about figures in black history.

We are most grateful to The Greenville News and Central Carolina Bank for underwriting the publication of our coloring book.

Please take time to read and share this book with your child. Help them to understand and promote tolerance. It is through the actions of small people that big things can happen!

Sharon Smathers
Executive Director, Human Relations Commission
