This section of our website grew out of the initial desire to trace the Commission’s past. However, since our origin is so tightly linked with past historical events, it quickly evolved into a local perspective of community and race relations. We also wanted to celebrate the progress and the diversity Greenville has become known for, so it is noted when substantial numbers of a particular culture were introduced to our area by the relocation of a major corporation.
