Mary E. Randolph
Mary, a native of South Carolina is a graduate of Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Buffalo State College in Buffalo, New York.

She is a retired Elementary School Teacher and head Start Director. Under Mary, the Head Start Program grew to be the largest head Start Program in Upstate New York. After her retirement, she worked as a Federal Reviewer for Head Start Programs throughout the United States. As a reviewer, she monitored the administrative area of the program, including the Boards of Directors’ responsibilities and compliance.

She strongly believes in giving back to the community. This demonstrated through her past memberships of countless organizations, and lengthy participation on nine boards of directors.

Mary and her husband relocated to Greenville two years ago. During that time, she has continued her practice of community involvement through Church, and service to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. by working as co-chairperson to start a Reading and Writing Academy for children.

Mary was appointed to the Commission in December, 2006. She resides in District #27.
