Location Directory

This is a computerized street directory that contains all the streets in our county. It provides a location code, a cross street, and directions which helps the dispatcher guide the EMS units to a call.

Maps
  • Paramedics depend on a map grid and a cross street. It is vital information to get them to a call.
  • Dispatchers are trained in the area of GIS mapping technology and manual map reading which they use in guiding emergency units to the scene.
  • Dispatchers use an aeronautical map to acquire headings and distances for our Air Transport Unit. This map is used in conjunction with the Delorme computerized mapping program to obtain latitudes and longitudes of emergency incidents.
