Old Mill Estates Tax District
Purpose(s)/Service(s): provides for lights Pursuant to Section 4-9-30(5)(a)(ii) of the Code of Laws of South Carolina, Ordinance No. 2735 created the Old Mill Estates Subdivision Special Tax District. The purpose of the district is to provide, within its boundaries, for the health, safety and welfare by installing and maintaining streetlights, for controlling litter and other health hazards along the public rights-of-way, and for maintaining and promoting improvements for the entrances, exits and rights-of-way. The commission meets on an "as needed" basis. The Old Mill Estates Tax District Commission is the governing body of the district consisting of five (5) members appointed by County Council. All members of the Commission shall reside within the geographical boundaries of the special tax district. County Council shall fill vacancies on the Commission for the remainder of the unexpired term. The Commission is responsible for maintaining and operating the Old Mill Estates Community special tax district in accordance with the purpose set forth in Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2735.
