Devenger Pointe Special Tax District

Enabling Legislation: Greenville County Council Ordinance No. 2215, effective 1/15/1991.
Pursuant to South Carolina Code: 4-9-30(5)(a)

Pursuant to Section 4-9-30(5)(a) of the Code of Laws of South Carolina, Ordinance No. 2215 created the Devenger Pointe Special Tax District. The purpose of this district is to provide, within its boundaries, security and property protection in the form of streetlights, maintain and promote improvements for the entrance/exit, and rights-of-way, control litter and other health hazards along the public rights-of-way.

The Devenger Pointe Tax District Commission is the governing body of this special tax district and consists of five (5) members appointed by County Council. All members of the Commission shall reside within the geographical boundaries of the special tax district. County Council shall fill vacancies on the Commission for the remainder of the unexpired term. The Commission shall be responsible for maintaining and operating the tax district in accordance with the purposes set forth in Section 3 of Ordinance 2215.
