Boiling Springs Fire District
Purpose(s)/Service(s): Fire Protection Act No. 916 of 1970 created the Boiling Springs Fire District. The Boiling Springs Fire District is a special purpose district fire control board responsible for procuring and maintaining firefighting equipment and training volunteer firefighters to provide fire protection services within the district. The board consists of five (5) members appointed by the Governor upon recommendation of County Council. Members serve for four (4) year staggered terms and reside within the geographical boundaries of the district. Board members serve without pay and must file a annual report with County Council, not later than November 1st of each year, showing all activities and disbursement made by the board during the year.
