Ashwicke provides for maintenance and electrical service for entrance and streetlights. Greenville County Council Ordinance No. 1781, effective 1/1/88.
Pursuant to 4-9-30(5)(a) of the SC Code of Laws.

Pursuant to Section 4-9-30(5)(a) of the Code of Laws of South Carolina, Ordinance No. 1781 created the Ashwicke Subdivision Community Special Tax District. The purpose of the district is to provide installation, maintenance, and electrical service for entrance lights and streetlights.

The Ashwicke Tax District Commission is the governing body of this special tax district and consists of five (5) members appointed by County Council serving three (3) year staggered terms. All members of the Commission shall reside within the geographical boundaries of the special tax district. County Council shall fill vacancies on the Commission for the remainder of the unexpired term. The Commission shall adopt its own rules and operating procedures.
