Councilor Trout serves on the Public Safety, Human Services and Administration Committee and the Intergovernmental Relations Committee.

As a charter member of the Greenville MADD Board of Directors, Mr. Trout helped ensure its productive and viable future. Mr. Trout's role in founding the Greenville chapter of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) typifies his ongoing commitment to the safety needs of Greenville's citizens and is an example of his dedicated leadership in the community on issues of substance abuse treatment and criminal justice.

Trout is also a certified instructor for Tri-County Tech., a member of the Greer Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the governmental affairs committee, and is Chairman for American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS).

Mr. Trout is an active member of Taylors First Baptist Church. He is married to Riverside High School teacher, Donna, and they have one son, Austin.
