Liz Seman

District 24
Liz was elected in 2008 to represent District 24. Liz has lived in Greenville since 1999 and began her nonprofit career with the American Red Cross, serving first as the Director of Volunteer and Community Relations and then as the Director of Development. She served 3 ½ years as the Executive Director for Hands On Greenville and currently serves as the Executive Director for Meals On Wheels.

Councilor Seman serves on the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee and the Planning and Development Committee.

Prior to being elected, Liz was appointed to the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority Board. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Greenville Forward, the Greenville Housing Fund and the South Carolina Technology and Aviation Center (SC-TAC). She is also on the board of directors for the Meals on Wheels Association of America and the Board of Governors for the Greenville Chamber.

She has served on the Board of Directors of the Nonprofit Alliance, the Junior League of Greenville, the Leadership Greenville Alumni Association and the Advisory Board of the American Red Cross. She is a member of the Downtown Rotary and an Elder at Fourth Presbyterian Church. Liz is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class XXVII and Diversity Leadership Academy Class IV. She was one of the YWCA Dream Achievers in 2006 and was named one of Greenville's Top 25 under 35 in 2003.

Liz received her B.S. in Marketing from Miami of Ohio. She is married to Steve and has one son, Walker, who is in the 7th grade.
