Joseph Baldwin

District 18
Joe Baldwin represents District 18, which encompasses Greer, parts of Blue Ridge and Taylors. He was elected in November of 2008 and re-elected in 2012.

Councilor Baldwin serves on the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee and the Public Safety and Human Services Committee.

Councilman Baldwin has a B.A. Degree from the University of Cincinnati and obtained a J.D. Degree from the University of South Carolina in 1978. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar, and has a private law practice in Greer.

Councilman Baldwin has been active in the Greer community for many years. He is a member of the Greer Lions Club. He has been an active volunteer of the Greer High School Booster Club, served as a board member of Greer Community Ministries and is an active member of Memorial United Methodist Church

Councilman Baldwin served as a City Councilman in Greer for 15 years prior to taking his seat on County Council. He served as Mayor Pro Tem for 4 years. He is a graduate of the Municipal Institute of Government and the Leadership Greer class of 1985.

Councilman Baldwin is married and has a son and daughter who both attend the University of South Carolina.
