The Building Safety Department is dedicated to the enforcement of building codes to safeguard the public health, safety and general welfare to life and property from fire and other hazards attributed to the built environment, and to provide the citizens and builders of the county with competent, consistent, courteous and timely inspection services. Inspections
Inspections may be scheduled through the Greenville County Automated Inspection System. The results of those scheduled inspections can also be accessed through this system. The system is available 24-hours a day seven days a week for your convenience. In order to use the system you must know your phone access code or application permit number, both are located on your permit, and have availability of a touch tone telephone.

Simply follow the format below and you will be able to schedule your inspections and hear the results of those inspections you have scheduled.

In order to use this site to schedule inspections or receive results you need to have your phone access code located on your permit.

Each trade permit has its own access number. E.I. Building, Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing. The Phone Access Number is located approximately in the middle of your permit. This number is a specific PIN number for that permit, and will only allow access to the inspection system for that particular permit.

Simply follow the instructions on the site to schedule inspections or receive results of an inspection. Inspections may be scheduled for the next business day or a date in the future, generally this is not suggested more than 90 in advance.

The web site is available 24 hours, seven days a week, and will accept inspections for the next business day until 12pm midnight.
