A panel of three jury commissioners meets on the first Tuesday of each month to enter their private codes into a computer which randomly draws from the list.

The commissioners never see the names that are chosen until after the list has been printed. The list is then sent to the Clerk of Court’s office to be prepared and a list of jurors that do not respond is sent to the Greenville Sheriff’s Office to follow up in person.

The jury summons are mailed 20 to 30 days before the jurors are to appear in court. A juror is paid $10.00 a day for each day that he or she comes to court, and is also paid the IRS allowable amount per mile for the first trip to court. Checks are mailed within 2 days after your jury service ends.
