Juror Summons
The Jury Summons is enclosed in the envelope that you received in the mail. You will see instructions that ask you to fill in all required information, retain the top portion of the summons for your reference and return the bottom portion of the form along with any required affidavits or written statements in the self-addressed envelope provided. Unless you are otherwise notified by the Clerk of Court, you must report for jury duty as requested.

Be sure to read all pages in the envelope. The exact rules as to the disqualifications and exemptions are spelled out on the front of the summons. For more information on parking, jury selection, qualifications and exemptions, check other headings in this site.

You will also find in your envelope a "Juror Information Pamphlet" prepared by South Carolina Court Administration. This is an excellent overview of South Carolina’s Circuit Court System and will help you to understand the importance of your role as a juror.

Your Clerk of Court thanks you for your cooperation and hopes that you find jury duty to be both informative and satisfying.
