Answer:
The Greenville County Main Library's regular hours are: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am until 9:00 pm; Saturday, 9:00 am until 6:00 pm; Sunday, 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Contact (864) 242-5000 for further information.

What types of questions can be answered through the Library?

Answer:
The library answers a wide range of information requests including questions on library holdings, community resources, school assignments, etc. Questions may be answered by calling (864) 242-5000 or in person at the Reference desk.

Who is eligible for a library card?

Answer:
A library card is available at no charge to every Greenville and Spartanburg County resident who can present proof of residency.

Question:
How old does a child have to be to get a library card?

Answer:
Children must be able to print their first name and all children under age 13 must have a parent's signature to register for a library card.

Question:
What types of special programs are available at the Library?

Answer:
The library offers bookmobile services and services to the homebound and to those with special needs. Special departments include audiovisual, in person reference, telephone reference, local information and the Children's Room. Special services providing access to information outside the library are available. Story hours and reading clubs are offered for children at all library locations.
