Construction Waste
The County would like to encourage all builders and developers to place recycling
bins at building sites. C&D wastes are disposed separately from municipal solid wastes
at a fee of $26 ton. However, the availability of recycling opportunities should be examined.
Builders can refer to the list of recycling vendors to research recycling opportunities.
Construction and demolition wastes include the inert materials which are wasted
during construction, renovation, or demolition projects. Some examples include concrete
and asphalt, lumber, pipes, sheetrock, insulation, roofing shingles, carpeting, and
other such materials. C&D wastes do not include yard debris or food wastes.
